It was a spicy July 1st, the day Taralyn & David committed their lives to each other. They call Burnaby home where they brighten each other’s lives with dancing, and cooking, and going on adventures together with their dog Boones, but it all began in West Vancouver several years ago.
They met over a game of volleyball with some friends at Ambleside beach, and ending up back at David’s family home in West Vancouver cooking for all their friends. Their chemistry was instant and they spent the rest of the night laughing and drinking, and skinny dipping in David’s parent’s pool.
This same Mile’s family house was where Taralyn & David tied the knot in a incomparable laid back, no-holds-barred, undesigned wedding I’ve ever shot. And it was amazing!
They said their ‘I dos’ on a little bridge over a creek that runs through Mile’s front yard. Then we all jumped in cars and pick ups and went for an adventure to Caufield Park and Tiddly Cove for photos. We finished off the evening with a party in the backyard. There was no itinerary and Taralyn & David just went with it. Guests danced on the stairs to the 3 piece band, family climbed up on the diving board and said their few words around the pool. Drinks were poured and canapés were served all evening long. The entire evening was just focused on all the ‘happy’ and ‘feels’!!
Taralyn & David thank you so much for being the most amazing and fun couple. Ever. You are what’s right and good with the world… and I’m thrilled to have been a part of the your perfect wedding day, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you both!
Taralyn handmade pretty much the best wedding sign EVER!! And if you don’t get the reference from this sign… sorry. we can’t be friends.
Both David and Taralyn got ready in the upstairs of the house where drinks were already being poured and the laughter was abundant.
This was also probably THE trickiest ceremony location I’ve ever shot. I was literally straddling a creek at one point to get the shot above.
Little details were few and far between, but it added to the laid back feel.
Speeches were said around the pool and of course there were tears, but lots of a laughter.
