Carolyn and Jeff’s ideal weekend adventure is to spend it at camp or by the lake, which we did for their engagement photography session. On a 38 degree day, we captured the special moments created by the engaged couple as they had fun and relaxed at Jeff’s grandma’s camp.

Most camps in Thunder Bay cannot be found on google maps – good thing Carolyn was so fantastic in providing instructions, so we didn’t get lost. We were so excited to take their photos in the exact location where they would tie the knot soon. 

After exploring the whole place, we thought it would be an excellent idea to take a dip into the water and have their photos taken as well. Since we were all sweaty and thought it was a refreshing idea, the couple was all for it. We even planned an epic fall shot of them getting into the water. The photo went semi-viral, as we shared it in one of Facebook’s photography groups. It garnered more likes than most shots we’ve done and opened a hot debate about whether the image was real or faked. After all, it was really an amazing shot achieved during the magic hour at a majestic lake, with a lovely and fun couple to shoot. It was definitely an engagement shoot to remember!
