We first met Nina and Brandon when we had an engagement shoot at the Tree Farm. We saw how much they love nature and adventure even before we did their Thunder Bay wedding photography. Thus, it was not surprising that they chose to have a ceremony with the Kakabeka Falls in the background and a tent reception in the groom’s parent’s backyard.
Nina’s family flew up from Southern Ontario to witness their celebration. The bride was originally from Southern Ontario until she met Brandon in the police academy, where he convinced her to move up to Thunder Bay. Their ceremony was awesome, with such a beautiful view of the Kakabeka Falls and the presence of everyone they love, including their two amazing furry pets. They got a brand new puppy when we captured their engagement photo session. By the time their wedding came around – they already had a second dalmatian puppy!
Despite being another couple whose wedding plans got changed over and over, their wedding day remained special. Everything went perfectly with such fantastic background, surrounded by loving family and friends, and celebrating their new chapter with charming backyard tent reception.
Most of our Thunder Bay wedding photography sessions feature backyard tent celebrations which became a major trend for summer weddings because of Covid. Keep reading more stories to discover how you can personalize your own big day.
