We just love when couples do things their own way and completely reflect their dreams into their big day. Not to mention how we love a splash of awesomely matched colours, vibrant personalities, all the feels, and a venue that makes it so easy to capture colourful wedding photography memories. That being said, meet Katie and Zach, an effortlessly elegant yet fun couple who had all of it – and even more!

Katie and Zach decided to celebrate their love by hosting a barn wedding at one of the most beautiful venues, Earth to Table – The Farm, which is in Waterdown, Ontario – my hometown! I flew down from Thunder Bay to Toronto, got a free car rental upgrade and drove around a bright yellow jeep (top off!), and enjoyed seeing my childhood home, and visiting spots I used to hang out at in high school! The town has changed so much since I was there 10 years ago!

Now! Let’s skip to the good part…  First, let me share how awesome their getting ready moments were, the groomsmen with matching socks, all the fun and smiles, not to mention the exhilarating anticipation. However, what truly started the wedding adventure was the emotional first look that Katie and Zach shared in front of Katie’s parents’ home. After they had some time to grasp all the emotions, we continued with their intimate session. They even included their bunnies, which was the cutest thing ever!

Their ceremony was hosted at the outdoor chapel of the farm, which gave the perfect laid-back wedding feels. What we loved for our colourful wedding photography portrayal was the fact that the groomsmen’s bow ties were perfectly matched to the bridesmaids’ dresses! Plus, it was so sweet and surreal when a butterfly made an appearance during the ceremony. With heartfelt vows and emotional gasps from their favourite people, Katie and Zach crowned their love.

To celebrate this epic chapter, they had an amazing and fun barn wedding reception. What definitely stood out was their cheese wheel cake with the cutest topper and the food which was absolutely to die for. Naturally, we made sure to sneak out with Katie and Zach during golden hour and capture their magic!
